Training on Meaningful Youth Engagement

19–24 October 2026
Ljubljana, Slovenia

From 19 to 24 October 2026, the International Youth Health Organization hosted a Training on Meaningful Youth Engagement in Ljubljana, Slovenia, as part of the #YouthAction4Health project.

The training brought together 20 youth workers and stakeholders from Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, North Macedonia, and Albania.

The aim was to strengthen participants’ skills and understanding of how young people can be meaningfully involved in health policy and decision-making.

Through non-formal learning methods and a learning-by-doing approach, participants explored practical ways to engage young people, discuss effective approaches, and learn from EU practices and examples that can be adapted to their own organisations and national contexts.

As the host organisation, YHO facilitated the programme in Ljubljana, creating a space for practical learning, exchange of experience, and regional cooperation on stronger youth participation in health policy.
