Why Attend?
As youth, you are at the forefront of highlighting the urgency of climate action and stressing the importance of addressing this issue, yet progress has often been too slow. At this hackathon, you will have the opportunity to turn your ideas into concrete solutions that we will submit as project proposals and begin implementing them with your involvement.
What Is a Hackathon?
A hackathon is a time-limited competitive event where participants collaborate in teams (4 people per team) to create solutions for a specific pre-defined problem. In our case, we will focus on climate challenges and seek innovative ways to address them.
The hackathon will bring together youth from different countries with various interests. Teams will work under the guidance of mentors with regular feedback to ensure the process runs as smoothly and quickly as possible.
What Can You Expect?
- Climate Action Innovations: Hacking solutions that will address real-world challenges and problems related to climate change.
- Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Working with mentors and experts who will help shape your solutions.
Prizes for the Winning Teams:
- Free attendance at a YHO event next year.
- Practical gifts for the whole team.
All participants will receive a certificate of participation, with the winners receiving a special recognition.
Outcome of the Hackathon:
The outcome of the hackathon will be a project proposal that we will submit together with YHO, providing you with the opportunity for further collaboration and implementation of your idea.
Join us and co-create solutions that will change the future! Your ideas are key to sustainable climate action and innovations in environmental policy.
