Call for Nominations for the 2026 elections of the YHO Board and Monitoring Committee
We are pleased to officially launch the Call for Nominations for the 2026 elections of the YHO Board and Monitoring Committee.
The elections will take place during the YHO General Assembly on 23 September 2026, from 09:30 to 12:30 CET.
The elected members will serve a three-year mandate commencing on 1 January 2027 and ending on 31 December 2029, following the transition period between the outgoing and incoming governing bodies.
Positions open for election
YHO Board – mandate 2027–2029
- President – 1 position
- Regional Coordinators – 3 positions
- Free Board Members – 5 positions
Monitoring Committee – mandate 2027–2029
- Monitoring Committee Members – 3 positions
A candidate may stand for one position only.
Candidate eligibility and endorsement
Candidates must be members of, or formally endorsed by, a YHO Full Member organization in good standing. Candidates for the position of Regional Coordinator must belong to, or be formally endorsed by, a Full Member organization from the relevant YHO Region.
The supporting Full Member organization must formally confirm its endorsement in the application form through the signature of its legal representative.
Submission of nominations
Each candidate must submit:
- a completed and signed application form;
- a curriculum vitae;
- a motivation letter.
Candidates applying for the position of Regional Coordinator should indicate the relevant YHO Region in the application form and explain their interest in representing that Region in their motivation letter.
Complete applications must be sent to: secretary.general@yho.network.
The deadline for submitting nominations is 10 August 2026 at 23:59 CET.
Incomplete applications and applications received after the deadline will not be considered. Candidate eligibility will be verified between 11 and 17 August 2026, and the final list of eligible candidates will be published on 23 August 2026.
Voting eligibility
Only YHO Full Member organizations in good standing whose applicable membership fees have been settled by 31 July 2026 will be eligible to vote in the elections.
The membership fee deadline of 31 July 2026 applies equally to all organizations wishing to participate in the elections. Organizations whose eligibility for Full Membership has already been verified and approved by the YHO Board, but whose membership is awaiting formal confirmation by the General Assembly, will be presented for confirmation as the first substantive item on the agenda. Upon confirmation of their Full Member status, they will be entitled to participate in the elections, provided that their applicable membership fees are settled by 31 July 2026.
Participation of candidates at the General Assembly
Candidates are required to attend the General Assembly on 23 September 2026. Each candidate will be given up to three minutes to present their candidature, followed by questions from members of the General Assembly.
