As part of the BeWell@DIGITAL project, YHO, with IMTM and GBHIA, conducted a three-day in-person training event for future youth mental health counselors. The training event transpired between the 27th and the 29th of March in Tirana, Albania, where we were hosted by our partner organization Youth Act at Barleti University. 28 participants from Montenegro, Bosnia, and Herzegovina, and Albania went through various mental health-related workshops, topics spanning from basics of counseling, communication, and e-health to mental health terminology and psychological first aid. Testing the mental health chat support platform also took place, which will help future youth counselors immensely in their work over the next few months.

BeWell@DIGITAL project is an Erasmus+ founded project that intends to raise mental health awareness and scale-up mental health care throughout the Western Balkan countries. YHO partnered up with Institut savremenih tehnologija Crne Gore (IMTM), Epistemoniki etaireia vioiatrikis pliroforikis kai pliroforikis ygeias (IMTM), Drustvo za borbu protiv side crne gore udruzenje (CAZAS), Udruzenje proni centar za omladinski razvoj (PRONI) and Youth Act (Albania) to offer capacity building opportunities to young people.
