YHO Collaboration Month for Members

Dear members of the International Youth Health Organization,

We invite you to YHO Collaboration Month – November 2026, a series of four online meetings to exchange views, discuss proposals and help shape how we work together.

During the Collaboration Month, we will introduce the newly elected Board, discuss proposed changes to the membership system, and gather your feedback on the first draft of the Country Office Strategy. We will also look ahead to 2027 and explore opportunities for joint activities.

The membership proposals and Country Office Strategy are open for consultation. Your experiences and suggestions will help us identify what needs to be clarified, changed or developed further.

Meetings will take place every Tuesday in November at different times to accommodate different schedules and time zones.

Collaboration Month will help prepare for the online General Assembly in December 2026, giving members time to discuss proposals and share their views in advance so that the GA can be more focused and effective. The official GA invitation will be sent in November.

We therefore encourage all YHO members to join these discussions and contribute to the proposals that will be brought to the General Assembly.

Format Overview

  • Number of Meetings: 5
  • Duration: 1.5 hours per meeting
  • Format: Online meetings (Zoom)
  • Objective: Introduce the newly elected Board, gather members’ input on the proposed membership changes and draft Country Office Strategy, and identify priorities and opportunities for collaboration in 2027.

Registration is required for each meeting individually via the Zoom platform using the link provided under its description. By registering, participants acknowledge and agree that all meetings will be recorded and that the recordings will be shared with all YHO members!

Meeting 1: YHO After the General Assembly – Introducing the Newly Elected Board

Tuesday, 3 November 2026 | 15:00 CET

We will share the key outcomes of the September General Assembly held during the Portorož Youth Health Forum and introduce the newly elected Board, whose mandate begins on 1 January 2027.

The meeting will include:

  • A brief overview of the General Assembly and PYHF outcomes.
  • Introductions from the newly elected Board members.
  • A conversation about members’ expectations for the new mandate and cooperation with the Board.

Meeting 2: The Future of YHO Membership

Tuesday, 10 November 2026 | 11:00 CET

What should YHO membership offer, and how can the membership system better reflect the needs and capacities of our organizations? We will present proposed changes and invite your feedback.

The discussion will cover:

  • Membership categories, benefits and responsibilities.
  • What members value and what needs to improve.
  • Ways to support more active involvement and cooperation across the network.

Meeting 3: Country Office Strategy – Members’ Consultation

Tuesday, 17 November 2026 | 14:00 CET

We will present the first draft of YHO’s Country Office Strategy and discuss how the proposed approach could work in practice.

Together, we will explore:

  • The proposed role and responsibilities of Country Offices.
  • Cooperation between Country Offices, member organizations and the Secretariat.
  • Potential benefits, challenges and areas of overlap.
  • What needs to be clarified, revised or added to the draft.

Meeting 4: Looking Ahead to 2027 – Collaboration and Open Discussion

Tuesday, 24 November 2026 | 17:00 CET

Our final meeting will focus on turning the month’s discussions into next steps and exploring what we can do together in 2027.

The meeting will include:

  • An overview of YHO’s plans and opportunities for members to get involved in 2027.
  • Members’ ideas for joint projects, activities and exchanges.
  • Members-to-members connection
  • Outstanding questions from the previous meetings and additional topics raised by members.
  • A recap of the feedback received and next steps for the membership proposals and Country Office Strategy.
