Themes: Public Health, Youth Health, Youth Engagement, Youth Work
Working language: English
In order to empower youth activists that have the mission to improve the health of the population, we need to strengthen their knowledge and skills, which are best developed at an early age. Youth (health) organizations and organizations for youth health play a key role in accessing young people and empowering them through the development of their competencies.
By introducing healthy policies, youth organizations can ensure a healthy environment, safe and secure spaces and encourage the innovative spirit of young people.
The activity is part of the YHO Annual Work plan supported by European Youth Foundation of the Council of Europe.
The partner participation is supported by Erasmus+ of the European Union trough Movit
Idea and aims
The aim of the Portorož Youth Health Forum 2022, is to empower and improve the skills of youth health professionals and youth workers by building their capacity on health prevention and promotion, research, networking, advocacy, campaigning and policy making.

- To improve participants' skills on how to develop and implement youth health interventions, design innovative health solutions for young people and to create and run effective advocacy campaigns to influence policy-making and increase the meaningful involvement of young people in health;
- To create a declaration on European youth health work, supported by statements and recommendations for governments, academies and international organizations.
- To create a forum for cooperation and innovation in youth health that will support youth participation, strengthen an international perspective and global understanding among participants on young people’s health problems and inspire and empower participants to take action to promote the health of young people in their local communities and among peers.
