The International Youth Health Organization as a part of the Yearly Work Plan funded by the European Youth Foundation organized the Youth School of Advocacy and Health Policy on Nutrition and Food Systems 2023. It was a 4 – day intensive educational event that brought  together young people, youth workers and leaders, youth researchers, members of youth organizations, and experts for discussions, interactive training activities, and workshops on the topic of nutrition and food system. This advocacy school covered a »How to« design public health-related policy documents and use them in advocating for comprehensive public health policies on different levels. The goal was to engage and interest young people and youth organizations in public health, emphasizing evidence-based projects and sharing knowledge of successful advocacy practices. The focus is on empowering participants with skills and capacities for effective work in public health and advocacy, equipping them with tools to engage in advocating for comprehensive health policies at various levels. The initiative aims to provide necessary tools and training for participants to undertake projects for improving youth health while facilitating networking opportunities with professionals and organizations in the public health sector.
