With the support of EUROCARE, we brought 20 young people to attend the 9th Alcohol Policy Conference in Oslo, Norway. The outcome of the conference that took place on the 16th and 17th June was the Oslo declaration in which 11 organisations agreed on the most pressing matters when it comes to reducing alcohol harms. The conference was attended by more than 100 civil society representatives, researchers, policy and decision makers in the field of alcohol policy from European countries and also beyond. The programme was full of interesting panel discussions, presentations and workshops. The conference ended with the plenary panel discussion: Looking into the future. Part of this discussion was Jan Peloza, acting secretary general at YHO.
