In collaboration with ofi Türkiye, the Health Right Association (Sağlık Hakkı Derneği) launched the “Women on the Hazelnut Road” project to improve the living conditions of female itinerant seasonal agricultural workers. The project took place over three periods, from January 2023 to September 2024, and focused on several provinces of Türkiye, where these workers have temporary living spaces during the hazelnut harvest season. The project included group training and interactive sessions which covered topics on women’s health issues. While it aimed to raise awareness by improving their health literacy, it also enabled them to develop approaches to protecting their own health and support their access to health services. Over 3000 women were reached, through over 318 training sessions.
