Between 14th to 16th we welcomed participants to the School of Health Policy and Advocacy on Alcohol Prevention. The 3-day event was funded by European Union. Participants attended workshops prepared by trainers and health experts Katja Čič, Jan Peloza, and Matej Košir.

The topics that the advocacy school covered were: Networking, Coalition-Building and Partnerships,  Advocacy and Media: Message Planning, Stakeholders 101 & Stakeholder Mapping, Effective and Ineffective Policies, Policy Writing 101, Advocacy Strategy & Policy, The Potential Risks of Advocacy, Civic Engagement and Democracy, Personal Project Planning, How to Create Impact: Public Policy Process and Policy Cycle, Public Speaking and the Psychology of Persuasion, Engaging Decision Makers, Policy Statement Writing and “Health Governance: Understanding Diplomacy in the field of Alcohol Prevention”
