From 22-23 November 2023 the meeting for the launch of an WHO/EU Evidence into Action Alcohol Project (EVID-ACTION) Youth Network took place in the UN City in Copenhagen, Denmark. The goal of this Youth Network is to have committed and motivated young people support the implementation of the various components of the EVID-ACTION program.
During the programme YHO presented the results of the review on Big Alcohol-funded Health Messaging in Digital Spaces. Participants brainstormed on the ideas on how to make the existing Digital Alcohol Marketing Guide better content wise as well as how to implement it and spread it among young people. On the second day, participants discussed labeling of alcoholic beverages and designed their own labels that youth relates to. These labels were displayed in the lobby of the UN City and will be used as a resource for EVID-ACTION communications activities. Participants agreed to continue to develop the ideas in working groups and to meet again soon to reflect on the work they’ve done.
